Rustic Ridge is a country rock and Southern rock band rooted in Americana storytelling, featuring singer-songwriter Denise, guitarist Chris, drummer Mark, and bass guitarist Jim.

Together, they blend driving guitars, a strong rhythm section, and atmospheric moments with elements of folk, country, and Southern Gothic storytelling. Their songs are grounded and story-driven, built around the belief that ordinary lives often hold the most remarkable stories.

Denise writes and sings the songs, drawing from real events, family history, old beliefs, folklore, dreams, and the mysteries that cannot always be explained. Chris shapes the guitar arrangements, moving from quiet and atmospheric to driving and raw, depending on what each story calls for. Mark holds it all together on drums, bringing a steady backbone forged over decades of playing. Jim anchors the low end on bass, rounding out the band's sound with a deep groove that gives every song room to breathe.

Chris and Mark's friendship stretches back to the early 1990s, when the two served together in the United States Air Force and played music side by side. Life took them in different directions after their service, but they stayed close, and when Rustic Ridge began to take shape, it felt only right that Mark would be part of it.

Chris and Denise found each other later in life, after loss and long roads of their own. Both had nearly stopped looking. Chris will tell you he had decided everyone he met was crazy, until he met Denise and realized she was his kind of crazy.

All four grew up moving from place to place and developed a lasting appreciation for rural communities, older generations, local history, family traditions, and the stories people carry with them long after a place or person is gone.

Rustic Ridge began releasing music in 2026 and continues to build a growing catalog of original songs shaped by history, folklore, family stories, lived experience, and the mysteries that often linger just beyond explanation.
